We’re recruiting for new team roles

Artist Managers and Marketing Officers

Polyphony Arts Ltd is a classical and folk music artist and project management organisation, and we are expanding.

We are looking for new Artist Managers to join our growing artist management team, and Marketing Officers to support client and company marketing and comms needs. Job descriptions and person specifications are below.

Particulars

  • All roles at Polyphony Arts Ltd are remote/home based working. There are full time and part time options available in both Artist Manager and Marketing Officer roles; we can be flexible on how these roles are divided between team members. 
  • The remuneration for each role is £21,000 per annum, pro rata, on a payrolled basis, plus equipment allowance.
  • Interviews will take place in early November and positions available to start in November. We recruit approximately every 3 months, so if you are interested in working with us with a start date further in the future, please do apply.

Artist Manager Job Specification

  • Artist management
    • Researching contacts for concert venues/societies worldwide
    • Pitching artists, programmes and projects to promoters and venues
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with promoters and venues
    • Maintaining a database of contact details and contact history, relating to the above
    • Assisting with concert arrangements and artist logistics for local, national and international events
  • Marketing
    • Preparing and maintaining artist marketing materials
    • Website updating
    • Social media 
    • Press releases
    • Blog posts and news 
  • Writing funding applications (training available)

Essential qualities and experience

  • A background in/working knowledge of classical music
  • A network of classical music contacts 
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Excellent record keeping
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
  • Access to and proficiency in using a range of computer software (training and access to specific programmes will be provided where needed) 
    • Good communication skills, particularly excellent written English.

Desirable experience

  • Classical music artist and project management
  • Fundraising and grantfinding
  • Website editing, especially WordPress 
  • Ability to speak/write in language/s other than English
  • Using software such as Trello, Hubspot, Content Studio, Slack and Zoom
  • Marketing, branding, press and publicity
  • Social media experience

Marketing Officer Job Specification

  • Social media scheduling on a range of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linked In.
  • Email marketing campaigns for, sales, events and news
  • Copywriting and blog posts
  • Creation/sourcing of images and videos for marketing purposes, as required
  • Other tasks to do with the day to day management of Polyphony Arts

Essential qualities and experience:

  • A background in/working knowledge of classical and/or folk music
  • Experience of managing short, medium and long term marketing campaigns
  • Experience of digital marketing, copywriting and creative social media campaigns
  • Experience of event management
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Excellent record keeping
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
  • Access to and proficiency in using a range of computer software (training and access to specific programmes will be provided where needed) 
  • Good communication skills; particularly, excellent written English.

Desirable experience

  • Website editing, especially WordPress 
  • Managing PR campaigns for album launches and other music events
  • Understanding of playlisting, charting and other processes involved in the release of music
  • A network of contacts in classical and/or folk music, especially for press and PR purposes

  • Using software such as Xero, Trello, Hubspot, Dropbox, Content Studio, Slack and Zoom
