NEW ARTIST: PIANIST ROSSINA GRIECO

Polyphony Arts is delighted to welcome the remarkable prize-winning pianist Rossina Grieco.

Rossina began her musical studies with St. Petersburg pedagogue, Luba Ugorski, at four years old. After winning global recognition and prizes across America, she made her formal debut at Copley Hall with the San Diego Symphony at eight years old.

She has appeared as soloist with the Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Xiamen Symphonies, Shanghai Philharmonic, and the China Philharmonic in venues including the Lincoln Center, Poly Theatre, Koerner Hall, Shanghai Oriental Art Center, Xinghai Concert Hall, The Auditorium at TSRI, and Sherwood Hall.

She has also worked with conductors including Gábor Takács-Nagy, Yu Long, Xu Zhong, Chen Zuo Huang, Chen Xie Yang, Yoon Jae Lee and Jung-Ho Pak. Rossina was invited as guest artist at the Beijing International Music Festival, La Jolla Music Society, Antheneum Concert Series, as well as performing numerous private recitals across San Diego, Toronto, Leeds, and New York.

Rossina became the longest standing recipient of the Ihnatowycz Prize, one of the highest and most prestigious artistic awards offered in North America, and has received accolades and academic recognition from institutions including Juilliard, The Glenn Gould School, Escuela Superior de Música de Reina Sofía and Curtis. She released her debut recording in 2020 with Orpheus Classical, featuring Chopin’s Scherzi and Preludes. A second recording of works by Beethoven will follow soon.
