Annabel is an experienced Arts Project Manager, specialising in orchestral and instrumental music and passionate about producing high-quality events that run in the smoothest way possible. She holds BA and MA degrees in Music from Durham University. Following roles at Cheltenham Music Festival and London Sinfonietta, Annabel enjoyed four years as Orchestra Manager with Britten Sinfonia, planning and delivering concerts across the UK and further afield within Europe, America and India. Her experience from this time encompasses advance/technical planning, stage management and orchestral fixing/personnel management.
As a freelance Project/Event Manager Annabel has worked for Cheltenham Music, Science and Literature Festivals, Spitalfields Music Festival, BBC Singers, and Verbier Music Festival. Since April 2017 she has worked for the Berkeley Ensemble, where she now holds the position of General Manager, managing all aspects of the ensemble’s concert and education work, and self-promoted Little Venice Music Festival.
Annabel lives in rural North Yorkshire with her husband and two young daughters, and embraces the opportunity to be outside whenever possible; walking, running, and attempting to maintain a decent vegetable garden (with erratic success). She has a specific interest in facilitating arts access in rural areas, and is a founder trustee of the Chamber Orchestra of the West.
